Family Update February 2019

It's been a new and quite busy season for us. From getting used to having a baby to being leaders of 2 ministries here in Cambodia. We are thankful that we're part of The Hard Places Community, and have great team mates who are so loving and encouraging to us. We are also thankful to have found an incredible "Home away from Home"  Church here in Cambodia, Kingdomcity. We have made good friends at Kingdomcity and we see God doing mighty work here also its been a great place for us to be refreshed as well. Tonlé is now 4 months old! He is a happy, healthy boy, growing fast, giggling, and trying so hard to sit up. He loves people and outings. We love him so much and are so blessed to be his parents (even at 3am when he wakes us up - he has been waking up a lot at night).

E N G L A N D A M E R I C A 5 April 2019 - 24 April  2019 25 April - End of May North London 5th - 15th Northern California 25th - May 20 Herefordshire 15th - 24th  North Carolina May 21 - ...

This April-May we will be traveling to England and America. We will be visiting and updating our supporters and home Churches, as-well as getting to see our families, friends and introduce Tonlé to everyone. We are excited to share what God is doing in, through, and around us here in Cambodia. With our growing family and ministries, we need to raise a little more monthly financial support. We hope and pray to connect with people who will partner with us in this way as well as in prayer and encouragement.

Emma has recently gone back to work, part time, after taking maternity leave. The Art Centre continued to run kids clubs, and kids worship sessions while Emma was off work. We have lots of enthusiastic kids attending sessions, but it has been harder to get adults and teens to consistently come to the creative sessions we have offered. Emma and the team at the art centre feel we should reach out to all ages, as the strongholds of addiction, poverty, gambling, abuse, and sexual exploitation in the community are being  passed down the generations, and we believe it will take more than just working with the kids to see transformation. We have been dreaming and praying about new approaches to building relationships and getting all ages to come along to the art centre in 2019. There are 2 new staff (see photo below) who Emma is training in using the arts in therapeutic approaches as well as in prayer, prophetic ministry and outreach. We are hoping and praying for more creative people to join our little team this year.

We absolutely LOVE these men! Michael has been hard at work at Century 9 Inspired Eatery with this amazing team of men. Three weeks ago Century 9 launched its new inspired menu and we are now serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The menu launch was so popular. We had a packed restaurant the whole first week. Century 9 has quickly grown a great reputation for good food, good people, and great service. All the hard work is paying off. Its been so busy we are needing to hire more staff, what a wonderful problem to have!! The main purpose of the restaurant continues to be training, empowering and discipling men. It is exciting to see our young men grow in their walk with God while also growing in self confidence and job skills. We love seeing the leaders rising up to disciple the newer guys. In 2019 we hope to launch off site catering with a Century 9 food truck. We will also be continuing to discover more about ourselves, Cambodian cuisine, and working to create new inspired dishes.

V I S I O N To discover and restore the Lost and forgotten flavors of Cambodia and through creativity, become influencers of Khmer cuisine to the world. Our heart through this process is to see young Khmer men achieve their dreams through restoration and discovery.

V A L U E S Honesty - Respect - Teachable Attitude - Quality - Hospitality - Integrity

*After many months of prayer, About a year ago we have found our "Home away from Home" church. We praise God for a happy, healthy, baby boy. *For Gods Grace and Favor over Century 9 Eatery and Bangkaut Thmey Art Centre. Also over The Hard Places Community as a whole.
